Meeting Cancellation Policy - If the Prince William County Schools System cancels or delays the opening of the schools then the Gainesville-Haymarket Rotary club will NOT have the meeting. You can call the Prince William County school public information line (703) 791-2776 after 5:30 AM for school status.



November 30, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting

  • Club members brought in the angel tree gifts for our adopted family at Pace West. Thank you so much for your kindness.
  • Club President Amelia Stansell presented the Paul Harris Fellow + 2 (PHF+2) award to Karen Wayne. Congratulations, Karen.
  • Our guest speaker Dr. Mark Kidd, Dean of Students at NVCC, Manassas campus came to talk to us about "POOPP - Partners in Our Obvious Positive Presence". Thank you, Dr. Kidd.

November 16, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting

  • Our Rotary club received ornaments from PACE West school to purchase gifts for their students in need. They are due back by December 5th.
  • Club President Amelia Stansell presented the Paul Harris Fellow + 1 (PHF+1) award to our club Secretary Chet Arnold and a PHF award to his wife Barbara Arnold. Congratulations to Chet and Barbara.
  • Club member Rick Ferry and Kevin Saunders (District Director at Boy Scouts of America) gave an informative presentation on Boy Scouts and Rotary. Rick is also a volunteer for Boy Scouts of America. Thank you, Rick & Kevin.










November 10, 2011 - Inaugural Night Golf Tournament

Our Gainesville-Haymarket Rotary Club held our first Inaugural 2011 9-Hole Night Golf Tournament on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Stonewall Golf Club at Lake Manassas. Thank you golfers, volunteers, and the Stonewall Golf Club for making it a successful event.

Funds raised will support the Stop Hunger Now's meal packaging program and will also provide the financial resources to support the PACE West school in Haymarket.

November 9, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting

  • Club President Amelia Stansell, with the support of our District Rotary Foundation Coordinator Dennis Fargo, presented the RI Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) award to President-Elect Lori Power. Congratulations, Lori.
  • Club members made final preparation for the Inaugural Night Golf Tournament planned for November 10, 2011.
  • Our guest speakers Bob Lazaro, Community Affairs Executive for the Inova Health System, and Jeffrey M. Carr, Senior Director of Corporate Health Services, gave an informative presentation on the Inova Health System. Thank you, Bob and Jeffrey.










November 2, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting

  • Club President Amelia Stansell with the support of PDG Chuck Davidson, 2011-2012 Rotary District Foundation Chair, presented the PHF+3 award to our club member Richard McCord. Congratulations to Dick.
