January 25, 2012 - Rotary club's weekly meeting

  • President-Elect Lori Power and club members made final preparation for the upcoming WINE TASTING & CHILI FEAST fundraising event at Barrel Oak Winery.
  • Our guest speaker Rick Davis, Executive Director of the Hylton Performing Arts Center, gave us a wonderful presentation on the Hylton Center. He is a special guest of Dr. Gail Kettlewell.

January 18, 2012 - Rotary club's weekly meeting

  • Our guest Stephania Moore came back to our Rotary club's weekly meeting. We hope that she would become a member of our Rotary club soon.
  • Immediate Past President Alan Myers announced the new 2012-2013 Board of Directors. Congratulations and best wishes to the new board.
  • Our guest speaker Dr. Christine Boyd shared with us the Starfish green which is a green art initiative that promotes community awareness, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability through programs that help people create, recycle, and earn money in garbage-dependent communities. Thank you, Dr. Boyd.

  • George Layne presented the RI Presidential Citation award to Van-Thanh Pham who accepted the award on behalf of the Battlefield High School Interact club. Congratulations, BHS Interactors.
  • Our guest speaker Michael Wolniewicz, owner of MW Furniture Design, shared his thoughts on how we can communicate for intention and not attention. Thank you, Michael.
