You can call the Prince William County school public information line (703) 791-2776 after 5:30 AM for school status.

- Laurie MacNaughton briefed members on the upcoming Children's Wellness Festival planned for October 15th and also passed out the volunteer sign-up sheets.
- Our very own club member and 2011-2012 District Foundation Chair Dennis Fargo gave Part II of his riveting presentation on a Cold War submarine story about three events - the loss of the K-129, the loss of the Scorpion, and the attempt to raise the K-129, and the relationship between the three.

August 17, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting
Our guest speaker Officer Warren Houde of the Haymarket Police Department talked to the club about the Haymarket town events and the need for a smaller utility vehicle such as a golf cart to cut down on response times during the town events. August 3, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting
- Our Club President Amelia Stansell inducted Karen Wayne, Red Cross National Capital Area (NCA) Community Executive, into our Rotary Club. Karen was a Past Club President of the Manassas Rotary Club and a Past Assistant District Governor (ADG). Club member Jim Miller presented the new member badge to her during the induction ceremony. Congratulations, Karen.
- Jim Aram, our Rotary Club Vice President, gave a heartfelt presentation on The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training (TNT) which he is a member of. Members of the Team In Training run, swim, and bike to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to make a difference for cancer patients and their families. Jim is also a CEO/Owner at Advantage Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation, LLC.
