April 27, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting
- Club President Alan Myers rallied club members to sign up for the July 30th Washington Nationals verses New York Mets game. The Rotary Districts 7610 and 7600 are teaming up again this season with the Washington Nationals to eradicate polio worldwide.
Karen Wayne from the American Red Cross Prince William Chapter gave us a presentation on Business Risk Planning for Continuity. A continuity/contingency plan should address the three core areas: Human Resources, Physical Resources and Continuity of Operations. April 20, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting
- Club President Alan Myers (right) congratulated Dennis Fargo (left) for achieving a PHF+5 status. Dennis received a Multiple Paul Harris Fellow pin with five sapphires which is given to those who have donated $6,000 to $6,999.99 or to those who have that amount contributed in their name.
Kathy Martin from the Prince William County/Manassas Covention & Visitors Bureau gave us an overview of the county's upcoming Civil War Sesquicentennial plan. On July 23 & 24, 2011 Prince William & Manassas, Virginia will commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the American Civil War and the Battle of First Manassas/Bull Run in Gainesville, Virginia. April 13, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting
- Club President Alan Myers gave a quick summary of the club's recent trip to the Rotary District 7610 Conference 2011 in Gettysburg, PA.
- Our guest speakers Betsy Reilly (middle) and Mary Beth Gibson (left) from the Prince William Health System gave us an update on the Prince William Hospital activities including the opening of the new heart catheterization lab at the Manassas campus in early January and the new Haymarket hospital scheduled to open in 2015.
April 7-10, 2011 - Rotary District 7610 Conference 2011 in Gettysburg, PA
Members of the club attended the Rotary District 7610 Conference 2011 in Gettysburg, PA and took part in various activities including the followings.
- The Wounded Warrior project. Our club gave a $424 check to the project and also participated in the packing of toiletries into small containers.
- The House of Friendship. We exhibited our Children's Wellness Festival information using a display board and a laptop running a video.
- The Building Communities, Bridging Continents exercise. Our members worked with others to build bridges using Lego pieces.
- The photo shoot of the district conference for Assistant District Governor (ADG) Dave Merver. Picture CD's are available for purchase through Dave Mercer and the proceeds go toward PolioPlus.
April 6, 2011 - Rotary club's weekly meeting
Our guest speaker Robert Wall, Public Education Coordinator for the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue and Vice Chair of the National Child Passenger Safety Board presented the available safety programs the department offers to the community including the Community Safety programs (smoke alarms and child safety seat), the Safe Kids Coalition, and the Fire Safety Second Grade program. Robert Wall was one of several honored at the 18th Annual U.S. Capitol Police Awards Ceremony on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, room SD-G50 on Capitol Hill.- Members of this club contributed $424 toward the Wounded Warriors project according to John Grzejka from our Gainesville-Haymarket Rotary Foundation . Thank younclub members for your generosity.
- Club put together the Children's Wellness Festival display board for the Rotary District 7610 Conference 2011

April 1, 2011 - First Friday Fellowship
Rotarians and family members gathered at the Lion & Bull Restaurant at Dominion Valley at 6:00 PM for a wonderful fellowship dinner. Be on the look out for the next fellowship gathering.
