Bri West, Piedmont Environmental Council

Bri's focus at Piedmont Environmental Council is energy policy and online advocacy (using the internet to educate and empower). She will talk about Virginia's energy policy and the choices we make regarding electricity, from the household level, on up to the state and national level.

Steve Floyd, BAE Systems

Steve Floyd is the chief engineer and designer of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP program) in Alaska. He gave us a very interesting presentation on the facility in Gakona, Alaska, explaining how the 180 radio towers encompassing over 36 acres are used to develop new communication methods and surveillance technologies. Using this technology they are able to image caves, tunnels, bunkers and even penetrate sea water down to 300 feet.

We are only $100 from our monetary goal of $3300! But we still need everyone's participation.

Our goal is EVERY MEMBER EVERY YEAR. FAIR We hope that every member will make some contribution to the Rotary Foundation this year. Perhaps you can join this group with a ten or twenty dollar gift.

The Rotary district will still match each gift for $100 or more.
