Rotary Community Corps of Gainesville-Haymarket
(http://www.gh-rotary.org/RCC.html)

A Rotary Community Corps (RCC) is a group of volunteers who don't belong to a Rotary club but share Rotary's values and commitment. Under the guidance and support of a sponsor Rotary club, RCC members put their own skills to work to improve the quality of life in their communities. The possibilities of an RCC are limited only by the resourcefulness and dedication of its members and sponsor Rotary club. RCCs can be an excellent way to introduce the community to Rotary.

Court Appointed Special Advocates

CASA volunteers are everyday citizens appointed by judges to advocate for the safety and well-being of children who have been removed from their homes due to parental abuse or neglect.

They stand up for these children, represent their best interests in courtrooms and other settings and help change their lives. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer will be the one constant adult presence in their lives.

Furbily-Furld Takes on the World

Furbily-Furld is furious. The poor little lizard who has lived on his home turf for years has been pushed out by a growing town.

Pick up the book and find out how Furbily is given the means to take revenge. You get to greet the author Katherine who will sign your book right on the spot.

You can also visit her website at http://www.furbilyfurld.com/events/

Kids activity

We will have pots, dirt, and seeds to have kids do plantings to take home.
